Every product company eventually builds a billing system; it’s the software equivalent of doing your own taxes. This one is the central portal for Web Impian’s services — the place where subscriptions, invoices and payments for the whole product suite live.
What it covers
- Subscriptions and renewals — plans, billing cycles, and the reminder machinery that keeps renewals from becoming surprises.
- Invoicing — generated, delivered, and reconciled against payments; the paper trail a business customer’s accountant actually asks for.
- Collection on our own rails — payment happens through Bayarcash, FPX and DuitNow included. The gateway’s own vendor bills through the gateway.
- Customer self-service — customers see their invoices, payment history, and active services without emailing anyone.
Why it’s more interesting than it sounds
Billing is where every hard edge of a product business meets: proration, failed payments, tax, refunds, and customers who paid to the wrong reference number. It’s also the purest dogfooding exercise we have — the same team operates the payment gateway and gets billed through it, so every friction in the payment flow lands on our own desk first. Nothing improves an API faster than being your own angriest customer.
